THE weather was overcast and a bit cooler so we had another large turnout of 58 for the Vern Treagar Memorial individual Stableford and the final round of the Brian 'Topper' McLauchlan Shield.

The sponsor on the day was Todd Richards from Geoff Richards Panelbeating with some great prizes.
Congratulations to Phil Reynolds who finished with 21 points over the three rounds and the Topper trophy will be presented later in the year. The day's winners were in A-grade Dave McGrath with 43 points with Hanlon Hyland runner-up on 41.
In B-grade Ross Coady won with 44 points and Jason Hildred (43) was second while in C-grade Brett Chippendale had 44 to claim the prize from Geordie Hyland (43).
To a huge ovation the Bradman prize was won by Hughy Graham.
The ball competition went down to 40 points and included Phil Reynolds, John Oldfield, Phil Wheeler, Ben Myhill, Justin Moses, Bruce Simpson and Dudley Beetson.
Nearest to the pins: 5th A-grade Adam Nissen 310cm; B-grade Dave Pilon 530cm; C-grade John Skinner 212cm; 8th Donald Miller 550cm; 11th and shot of the day Max Hassan 95cm; 15th Lindsay Mitchell 133cm; 18th Robert Hargraves 350cm.
The golden putter started again at 13 metres with a jackpot of $45. The putt was taken and missed by Geordie Hyland.
The $50 club money went to Justin Astri $40; $20 to Peter Noke, $10 Thomas Barker and the weekly jackpot of $15 was won by Lindsay Mitchell. The meat trays went to Ian Edmunds, Robert Atkins, Ian Wheeler, Peter McQuillan, Hanlon Hyland, Dave O'Brien and Dudley Beetson (2).

This event is also the first round of the individual match play and unless you are on the timesheet you have to be at the club by 7am or forfeit your round.
