It's the first time the roundup has visited Dubbo and organiser believe the city's geographic location has paid dividends with a record enrolment.
One of the organisers Matt Cherry, said 207 entries from NSW, WA, Victoria and Queensland were received making the roundup the largest single breed youth show in Australia. There were even visitors from New Zealand attending the show.
The show will be held at the Dubbo showgrounds and it combines educational sessions with a number of competitions and fun activities.
A key focus is on educating the young delegates about the varied careers that can be had in the beef industry.
