New Mendooran security venture more than just horseplay

AN INNOVATIVE new business is aiming to fill a demand for mounted security services at events across western NSW.

The Mendooran-based trio of Phillip and Debra Bell and Michael Jenkinson have combined a long-held love of horse riding with formal training in security to establish Mounted Security Patrol & Asset Protection (MSP & AP).

Phillip Bell said the idea for the service was born after the group noticed informal security patrols run by people on horseback at a nearby rodeo.

"We saw a real need for this kind of thing, and thought, we could do this," he said.
