Langley's Big Red Party Bus organiser Nikki Sinclair said this year more residents joined the festive season and had decorated their houses with Christmas lights.
"People are still completely in the Christmas spirit and are resilient," she said.
Mrs Sinclair said rising petrol prices made it a challenge to keep tour prices down but it was all part of the Christmas spirit of giving.
The festive season tour was a community service not a money-making event, she said.
Dubbo residents should hurry and buy their tickets as seats were selling out quickly.
"It is much safer trying to see the lights with us instead of wrestling with cars on the road," she said.
"It is a great family tradition and a good way to spend time with each other."
The Christmas lights tour is a fundraiser for Rhema 94.3, a not-for-profit Christian community radio station.
To reserve your seat, visit the Christian Book Centre on Talbragar Street.
