It will be the second time the Girls' Empowerment holiday program has run and the first time it has been held in the region.
Lake Burrendong Sport and Recreation Centre program officer Anna Walters said the five-day program from January 14 was open to girls aged 13 to 16-years-old.
"We are going to have a self esteem focus," she said.
"We are going to play at our strengths with outdoor activities."
The activities included in the program include archery, rock climbing, challenge ropes and flying fox.
"I think it is just a good opportunity to do activities that they don't usually get to do," Ms Walters said.
The sessions aim to boost the wellbeing and confidence of the girls that participate.
"We are trying to get them to challenge the way they think and explore important issues to them," Ms Walters said.
The girls that participated in the program would explore a number topics, Ms Walters said.
Among the topics covered are self awareness and self worth, mixed media and social messages about body image and behaviour, the influence of stereotypes, personal safety and healthy friendships.
Ms Walters said the program was initially developed to fill a gap in the programs offered by Sport and Recreation.
The first program was held at Borambola Sport and Recreation Centre near Wagga.
"We talked with groups of teenage girls about what they thought was important.
