A department of Lourdes Hospital and Community Health Service went above and beyond its duty by hosting a number of fundraising activities throughout the year.
The hotel services staff invited all their colleagues to wear pink for Pink Fridays and give a donation to go to various community and not-for-profit charities in the region.
In 2012 the Lourdes crew raised a total of $3000.
The hotel services team recently presented Angel Flight with a cheque for the sum of $1500 to assist with the charity's fabulous work.
Dubbo Earth Angel Barry Joseph was tickled pink to accept the donation and meet the people who gave for the cause.
The other half of the sum was donated to the local Lymphoedema Garment Assistance Scheme.
The scheme assists with the purchase of much-needed garments for people who suffer from lymphoedema and associated illness.
