Originally selected as a shadow player, a late withdrawal has handed Kurt selection.
Kurt, along with Matt Thompson and Stacey Woodhouse from the Dubbo College, were part of the Western Area team that won the CHS area carnival.
This was the first Western team of the year to win the State CHS area carnival.

CROSS-COUNTRY
Veronica Fardell competed for the NSW All Schools team and finished sixth at the Australian cross-country championships at Canberra.
She completed a tough 6km cross-country course that was a test to all competitors.
Veronica qualified for the NSW All Schools team after her performances at Homebush in late July.
She earned a gold medal in the NSW CHS race and was fourth in the NSW All Schools section.
She was also part of the NSW cross-country relay team that dominated the team's section.
The national championships brought together the best runners from all schools (private and public) across Australia.

JUNIOR LEAGUE
The Dubbo College Delroy Campus team has been knocked out of the under-14 Buckley Shield rugby league competition at the quarter-final stage.
They met a very skillful and strong Hunter Sports High who dominated the game from the opening whistle to take the match 60-8.
Hunter Sports High is the favourite for the competition after defeating defending champions Endeavour Sports High in a separate competition earlier in the year.
Delroy had very little ball in the first half and as a result had to defend for large periods against a well-drilled side that executed its attack with fine precision.
However in the second half Delroy had more of the ball and scored two tries. Brody Chapman, Anthony Egan Smith, David Nichols and a very heavily marked Travis Roach best served the team.
Delroy will now take part in the plate competition, which sees the four losing quarter-finalists take on each other.
Delroy's next match will be against fellow Western Area team Cowra High.

UNDER-16 HOCKEY
The Dubbo College under-16 girls' hockey team travelled to Bathurst recently to take part in the Tom Kemp Cup divisional day.
After originally being set down to play four matches, forfeits saw them contest only two games on the day.
In the first match the team took on Kelso High and despite a sound effort were defeated 6-0.
The next match was against Canobolas High and they were beaten 12-0. All girls are to be commended on the way they performed despite being outplayed by stronger opposition. Melissa Huckel, Kaitlyn Potter and Michala Wheeler were the pick of the side.

ATHLETICS
Dubbo College had some excellent results at the recent CHS Western Area athletics carnival at Dubbo.
As a result of performances Dubbo College will be represented by 50 athletes at the State CHS athletics carnival at Homebush September 9.

SERISIER CUP
The annual Serisier Cup challenge between Dubbo College South Campus and Dubbo College Delroy Campus is under way for 2004 with nothing very little between the two schools after the first round.
The Serisier Cup is played over 13 sports - touch for boys and girls, under-13 league, under-15 league, under-13 netball, under-15 netball, under-l3 soccer, under-l5 soccer, volleyball for girls and boys, softball girls, basketball boys and girl's hockey - with the cup going to the campus that wins the most sports.
After eight sports have been contested Dubbo South Campus will go into the second day with a 4.5 to 3.5 lead.
The Serisier Cup got under way with boys' soccer being played a week early.
In the under-13 match the two schools were locked at 1-all at full time. In the under-15 match Delroy Campus made the most of their opportunities to take the match 3-0.
Girls' touch was a fantastic tussle with Delroy Campus scoring two late tries to take the match 3-2 from a very competitive South Campus.
The half-time score was 1-all. Jay Lee Edwards, Tahlee Roberts and Alyssa Morris best served Delroy Campus, while South Campus had Hannah O'Neil, Peta Powyer and Becky Wells as there best players.
The boys' touch was also well contested with the scores locked 4-all at half-time.
However Delroy Campus were able to finish the stronger to eventually take out the match 8-5. South Campus had Jamie Crawford, Kyle Symonds and Bradley Marks make some valuable contributions, while Delroy Campus was best served by Adam Wilson, Kurt Fuller and Jy Ryan.
The boys' basketball match took place at the senior campus and saw a very strong Dubbo South Campus team take out the match by 46-30. However a very young Delroy campus team were more than competitive for the majority of the match.
Damien Roberts, Tom West and Angus Casewell were the leading players for Delroy.
While South had Adam Quill, Jordan Morrow and Luke Griffiths stand out for them.
In the under-13 girls' netball a Dubbo South Campus proved to strong in all areas for a Delroy Campus side that tried hard.
Kate Wells and Rebecca Short excelled in attack for South while Hayley Jeffrey was strong in defence. Ashleigh Kent, Row Campbell and Katherine Bates all competed well for Delroy.
The under-15 girls' netball match was tremendous with the sides separated by only one goal for nearly the entire match. However Dubbo South Campus finished with the last three goals of the match to take it 28-24.
Khyarne Biles and Kaimee Dunn stood out for Dubbo College South Campus with a great defensive effort. Kristie Caton also had a strong game in attack.
For Delroy Tarryn Barton play well at centre, Kyla Flick in defence and Angela Laughton in attack.
The last round of sports will be held today: U13 league, Apex Oval 9.20am; U15 league, Apex Oval 9.20am; Boys' Volleyball, Delroy Hall 9.20am; Girls' Volleyball, Delroy Hall 9.20am; Girls' Hockey Pioneer Park 9.20am.
