A crowd of more than 100 people were on hand to see eight quality amateur bouts with Dubbo's Kimble Sollars featuring in the final bout of the night.
Warwick Rapley from Blue Corner Gym was pleased with the quality of fighters on display and is looking forward their next fight night early next year.
"Every boxer who weighed in got a fight and I think the crowd was pretty happy with what they saw," Rapley said. "The best fight of the night was probably between Christopher Burke from Wellington and Karl Thompson from Orange.
"They're a couple of big blokes and the first round was very tough but Chris was just a bit too good and Karl retired in the second round.
"Kimble Sollars came up against Daniel Lang from Walgett and did it a bit tough.
"Daniel dropped him twice in the first round and the referee stopped the fight.
"We knew Daniel would come out at 100 miles an hour but we thought if Kimble could get to the second round the big fella might run out of puff but unfortunately that didn't happen.
"We'll be putting the Football Challenge on again some time in early March and that will be held at the Dubbo Civic Centre.
"The Football Challenge was a success this year and there are a number of guys already doing a bit of work for the next one so I'm sure that will be the biggest one yet."
Peter Norris (Mudgee) and Desmond Dennis (Walgett) were involved in an exhibition bout to start proceedings with Lewis Ellis (Walgett) and Mitchell Leathen (Orange) also involved in an exhibition fight.
Gaza Anmedi from Kandos then got the better of Michael Mundy (Walgett) with the referee stopping the contest in the second round.
Matthew Pandelis made it another win for Kandos when the referee stopped his bout against Lawrence Dennis in the first round before Dubbo's Resul Bildiren stepped into the ring for an exhibition bout against Brett Trindall from Walgett.
Trindall has previously fought for an Australian junior title while Bildiren was fighting in Australia for the first time after hailing from Turkey and both men but in spirited performances.
Jason Jones made it a hat-trick for Kandos boxers when he won on points against Walgett's Leon Dennis which was the only bout to go three rounds.
