With more than 10 rides to her name, Webster-Hawes will partner the well-performed sprinter for her boss Peter Nestor in the 800m scamper.
Lockers couldn’t have been more impressive winning first-up for Nestor over 1100m at Dubbo on September 30.
From barrier one on Saturday, Lockers has the opportunity to add to his impressive record of two wins from four starts.
The former Peter Snowden-trained galloper will carry 56.5 kilograms after Webster-Hawes’ four-kilogram claim.
Lockers will oppose four last-start winners including Coco Kerringle who showed plenty of fighting qualities to finish over the top of Royal Society last start at Cootamundra.
Coco Kerringle is now under the care of Ken Parsons at Cowra and will be his only starter at the seven-race TAB meeting.
“I was very pleased with her last win, she hit the line well and fought back strongly when challenged which she doesn’t always do,” Parsons said.
“I’m really happy with her progress and I think the draw in 11 won’t be too bad being out a bit wide rather than running the chance of being caught up on the fence over 800 metres.”
Only minimal rain has fallen at Narromine, unlike other parts of the NSW where meetings, including Wagga on Saturday, have already been called off.
Meanwhile, after two wins at Grafton during the winter and one run back from a break, One Gun has the opportunity to break back into the winner’s circle in the Orana Mutual Hcp (1600m).
One Gun has won three of his past seven starts and will find the conditions of Saturday’s race more suitable than his recent outings.
Leading jockey Mathew Cahill will ride One Gun for Tamworth trainer Paul St Vincent who has only the one runner engaged for the day.
After some recent failures, Our Heart will be at big odds but could surprise after failing to get a clear run at his latest start at Wagga.
Cahill was in the saddle that day when Our Heart should have been right in the finish.
