In the under-9 competition, minor premiers City Sloggers defeated City Slammers 3-0.
Sloggers played the game with the same intensity and form as they have displayed all year but the all-girl opposition played an outstanding game of hockey and were definitely not disgraced by the scoreline.
Scorers for the winners were Montannah Tunoho and Dalton Medcalf (2).
The under-12 mixed game was a cliffhanger with City Stingers 1-0 victors over City Sharks.
The only goal in the match came in a short corner after the half-time hooter sounded when Jack Eckford scooped the ball high into the net.
The rest of the match was played at a furious pace with many raids on goal that could have swung the game in either team’s favour.
City Redbacks came away winners in the closest match of the day against City Bluestars in under-15s boys.
The game was locked at 1-all at full-time driving the game into golden-goal extra time.
Again, both teams could have clinched the game on several occasions but eventually Redbacks found the net for a second time to take the game 2-1.
Braden Fordham was the only scorer for the Bluestars and Hunter Medcalf and Dan Battishall scored for the Redbacks.
IHC were up against some strong opposition in City Bluestars in the under-15 girls final.
Blue Stars opened the score within minutes of the start of the game and never gave IHC a look in.
Blue Stars were simply too strong on the day running away with a 7-0 victory.
Candy Garroway and Caitlin Karydis scored doubles on the game.
