Mat Skinner (47) started out on the front foot for the Master Blasters, managing to stay out there for seven overs, he smashed five sixes and three fours.
Ben Strachan (25) supported him well, picking up five fours in his seven overs and their efforts set the Master Blasters up nicely.
John Colwell (15), Jacob Harvey (15) and Paul Hulthen (16) also contributed well to see their side finish 8-151 after the allocated overs, with Tony Winmill (9no) and Dan Horrocks (3no) remaining.
Despite allowing the Blasters to average 7.5 runs an over, the Bombers bowlers didn’t do too bad of a job taking wickets.
They shared the duties around with Fred Walford (2-8) and Dan Holland (2-30) producing the best.
At the innings turn around, Bombers captain Wes Giddings (13) and Kieran Brien (19) started the proceedings and were doing a good job of it until Jacob Harvey (1-23) provided the spoils.
Harvey set up Matt Saul (3-18) for a Giddings catch and with two wickets to Dan Horrocks (2-17) then sending both Brien
and Aaron Etcell (6) packing, the Bombers were 3-46 at the seven over mark.
Brad Cox (25), Nathan Finlay (23) and Dan Holland (31) all came out with some fire in their bellies and the Bombers looked to be in it with a chance.
But with Tony Winmill (2-44), Mat Skinner (1-14) and Saul going on to take some quick wickets, their luck soon turned as the 20th over was all of a sudden upon them, they finished 9-139, with Ross Horrocks (4) and Ben Semmler remaining unbeaten.
