“It’s never too late to take up an instrument,” is the motto of the band and the beginner adults have “taken that thought to heart”, according to music teacher Paul Dunn.
“The parents have been working very hard at mastering their instruments and getting great sounds,” he said.
“Most importantly, they are having fun in the process.”
The parents use their children’s instruments to play in the beginner adult band.
“So after paying for their children’s instrument and tuition for years, they can now get some fun out of it,” Mr Dunn said.
Mr Dunn said the band had been meeting every Tuesday from 7.30pm until 8.30pm since the first week of August, and new members were welcome.
St John’s College ensembles will also be performing at the
concert after a busy year
performing at eisteddfods across the State and the Dubbo Jazz Festival.
The St John’s College Music Festival Concert will be held at Dubbo Christian School on August 28.
