Spring racing fashion was the talk at clothes store Klou yesterday as owner Kristen Montgomery hung her new range of spring dresses, and with warmer than average temperatures ahead it looks as though women can indulge in light and bright clothing this season.
Ms Montgomery said this year’s racing fashions aren’t all that different from last year, but said it was important for race-goers to choose their hat or facintor first, before choosing a simple dress to match.
“It is all about simple dresses and fabulous facinators,” she said.
“Smart conservative is the look.”
A spokeswoman for the Bureau of Meteorology said yesterday that there is about a 40 to 45 per cent chance of below average rainfall for the Dubbo area in the coming three months.
She said there was also a high chance the region would experience warmer temperatures.
“There is about a 65 to 70 per cent chance the Dubbo region will experience warmer temperatures throughout spring,” the spokesperson said.
“It looks as though it will be warm and dry.”
The Bureau of Meteorology said the pattern of seasonal rainfall odds across Australia is a result of recent warm conditions in both the Pacific and Indian Oceans.
