"We can confirm two requests for a recount for Wellington ward at Dubbo Council have been received by the NSW Electoral Commission," the Daily Liberal was told by a spokesperson on Wednesday morning.
"The request is currently being considered by the electoral commissioner."
The NSW Electoral Commission was unable to confirm when the recount would be undertaken.
Requests for a recount had to be made within 24 hours after the candidate has been informed the result of the count by the returning officer.

It has to outline the reasons for the request.
The electoral commissioner will then determine if a recount is necessary.
The NSW Electoral Commission said the commissioner will also determine how the recount is conducted.
"For example, depending on the circumstances in which a recount is required, the Commissioner may determine that all or only some of the ballot papers are to be recounted," the spokesperson said.
"The timing of any recount will depend on how that recount must be conducted, e.g. all ballot papers or only partial ballot papers such as postal, pre-poll or a certain polling place."
The results were tight in the Wellington ward.
According to the NSW Electoral Commission, there were 31 votes separating Jess Gough - who is in the position to be elected - and Anne Jones.
