Germon made the trip to Dubbo for the first time this week and was hugely impressed by the facilities he saw while taking in Cricket NSW Youth Championships action.
The four day carnival - featuring under 13, under 14, and under 15 sides from the southern half of the state - has received plenty of praise and Germon joined the chorus on Tuesday.
The former New Zealand Test captain was particularly enamoured with No. 1 Oval, where he watched one of the championships matches under lights on Monday night.
"I was very impressed by that facility," he said.
"To have under 13s there playing under lights on a wonderful outfield and a wonderful wicket, that's a fantastic facility."

When the Victoria Park upgrade was completed in August of last year the hope was No. 1 Oval would be in the running to host elite matches.
While not willing to lock in anything like a Big Bash League (BBL) match given how much work goes into planning those fixtures with broadcast rights and various other aspects to consider, Germon said there was no doubt some of the country's best women's teams could play at Dubbo.
"I think it could host a WNCL (Women's National Cricket League) game or the NSW Breakers or a WBBL (Women's Big Bash League) warm-up game," he said.
"From what I've seen these are really good facilities that could host higher level, elite cricket."
This season marks the third time the Dubbo region has hosted the Youth Championships, with matches running from Monday through to Thursday at various grounds in the city as well as at Narromine and Wellington.
All the turf pitches at the Lady Cutler Complex and at Victoria Park have been in use and as a mark of thanks and recognition of the standard of facilities in the region, Germon presented Dubbo Regional Council chief executive officer Murray Wood with a signed NSW bat.
"Dubbo provides such great facilities for our kids to really come and enjoy a festival and show their talents and enjoy the sport they love," Germon said.
It's really important for us to have talent coming from this region

"Regional cricket is vital to the success of Cricket NSW and also cricket in Australia. When you look at the great cricketers that have been developed in the country it's a testament to the fact that this is a breeding ground for great talent.
"It's important we have the opportunity to to play tournaments here at such great facilities and identify the up-and-coming talent."
Wood was proud to be presented with the piece of memorabilia and was delighted to see so many junior players from around the state in action at Dubbo again.
He was also keen to thank the council staff for all their efforts in ensuring the grounds around the city were in tip-top condition for the week's carnival.
"If you deliver a bad product people won't come back so it's a key part of it," he said.
"It's why we've got good staff who are passionate about delivering good facilities and that helps us invest in the future.
"Not only do our local people get to use these facilities to play at, but it helps us attract these events as well."
Germon also had plenty of praise for Western Zone cricket as a whole while taking in the action on Tuesday.
The region has made its presence felt for much of the past two decades, with the men's Western Zone side winning multiple Country Championships titles while both the men's and women's Plan B Regional Bash sides playing finals, with the former having won a title at the Sydney Cricket Ground previously.
"It's been continually strong," he said.
"You only need to look at the cricketers who have come out of this region and one of the most recent in the women's game is Phoebe Litchfield out of Orange and there's Emma Hughes from Dubbo who's playing for the (Sydney) Sixers and the Breakers.
"It really is a hotbed of talent it's really important for us to have talent coming from this region."
