Dubbo, Narromine, and Wellington will host Cricket NSW Youth Championships matches for the under 13, under 14, and under 15 Thunder Pool this week.
Hundreds of young players will be in action, with many taking part an elite carnival for the first time.
The local area will also be represented by the Western Plains Outlaws in each of the three age groups.
"It's fantastic. It's a high-quality carnival," Macquarie Valley regional coach Glenn Shepherd said.
"It's the start of journey for some of the better cricketers who will end up going through the NSW cricket pathway system."
Matches will run from Monday through to Thursday, with Twenty20 and 50-over games to be played.
"The different skillsets will come into play," Shepherd said.
"Some players are better suited to certain formats so some guys will shine some days while other guys will come to the fore on different days."

The Western Plains Outlaws draws on players from the Macquarie Valley - which includes Dubbo - and Lachlan regions.
In the under 13s Outlaws, Macquarie Valley will be represented by Brendan Richards, Lachlan O'Connor, Harvey Marchant, Ashton Deebank, Cameron Healey, and Rupert and Archer Mason.
The Macquarie Valley players in the under 14s side are Oliver Orth, Archie Morgan, Andrew Ridge, Cooper Townsend, Cooper Giddings, and Finn McLeod.
Isaac Birchall, Max Richardson, Kyan Green, Daniel Mansour, Max McAneney, Aydan Hunt, and Charlie Sutton will be the Macquarie Valley members of the under 15s squad.
There will also be a Dubbo feel around the coaching staff with Richie Richardson taking on the 15s with former NSW Country player Will Lindsay while Wes Giddings will mentor the under 14s and Forbes' James Metzelling has the job for the under 13s.
"Something we're really trying to do locally is to build on the skill-base of our coaches because the more skills they have the more they can pass on to the kids," Shepherd added.
"In our area, particularly, we're not looking at just skill and ability, but also character."
The Thunder Pool also features teams from the Illawarra down to the Riverina - including the ACT - and west to the South Australia border.
The week is also another chance for the Dubbo region to showcase the quality of its facilities while there will also be an economical boost with a huge amount of families heading west for the four days.
Shepherd added Dubbo Regional Council deserved plenty of praise for having grounds here in peak condition for the championships.
"The grounds are looking absolutely magnificent," he said.
"I've never seen the grounds look so good. The local ovals here in town are fantastic."
All teams will play two Twenty20 matches on Monday but some morning games could be affected by the rain the region received on the weekend.
The first matches are set to start at 9.30am.
