A Parkes woman was busted speeding on her learner's licence while allegedly under the influence of drugs twice in one day.

About 12.50pm on Saturday, highway patrol officers detected a vehicle speeding 126km/h along the Mitchell Highway near Nyngan.

Police spoke with a 35-year-old Parkes woman, and further checks revealed she was a learner driver, restricting her to 90km/h.
A roadside drug and alcohol test also revealed a positive reading for methamphetamine. She was arrested and taken to Nyngan police station, where her licence was suspended for three months.
The woman was also issued fines for being a learner exceeding the speed by more than 30km/h and not displaying L plates.
About 3pm the same day, police saw the woman driving a Toyota Camry on Moonagee Street in Nyngan.
She was stopped by police and again tested positive for methamphetamine.
She was arrested and taken to Nyngan Police Station. The driver was charged with drive while suspended, and further charges are pending the analysis of both the driver's oral fluid samples.
