The winners of the Dubbo Original Music Awards will be announced at the Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre on December 7.
The awards are the brainchild of Songwriters and Original Musicians Dubbo.

The winners in the first six categories will be determined by SOMAD members.
ALSO MAKING NEWS:
"The response to nominations was excellent, with a range of genres and artists represented amongst the 30 nominees," SOMAD president Fred Randell said.
"The live music scene in 2021 was heavily COVID-affected, but that didn't stop our local musicians from writing and recording new music, creating film clips and putting on some live shows in between lockdowns. The DOMAs aim to celebrate the living music scene in our city, through award categories like Song of the Year, Album/EP of the Year, Film Clip of the Year, Best Original Music Venue and Live Show of the Year."
The other winners will be selected by the SOMAD committee.
When the awards were first announced, SOMAD's secretary, and local musician, Tim Hosking said he hoped the awards would help promote Dubbo's talented artists.
"We still hear all the time that people don't really know many of the local bands and there's a bunch out there that are doing really cool stuff," he said.
SOMAD also wanted the awards to encourage more locals to create original music.
Mr Randell said he hoped the Dubbo community would go along to the DOMAs to recognise and celebrate Dubbo's local music scene.
The award ceremony will be held from 7pm to 9pm on Tuesday, December 7 at the Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre.
Tickets are $10 and can be purchased via the DRTCC box office or its website.
