Twenty RAD-5 pulse oximeters valued at $30,810 have been donated to hospitals across the district.
The oximeters will be used across the LHD where infants and children with COVID-19 are being cared for outside the hospital setting.
Accurate measurement of a pulse rate, oxygen saturation and blood flow are essential in assessing the status and treatment implications for paediatric patients.
Hand-held RAD-5 pulse oximeters record arterial oxygen levels accurately and efficiently and quickly track any changes.

This monitoring will allay family anxiety about a child's condition in the home setting and will allow Western NSW Local Health District's remote team to detect any changes in condition as early as possible and escalate care where required.
Western NSW LHD paediatrician Dr Allan Kerrigan welcomed the donation.
"WNSWLHD's outbreak of COVID-19 started in early August and, with its epicentre in Dubbo, it quickly spread through the district," Dr Kerrigan said.
"As case numbers grew, it was clear that a concerted response from many quarters was required.
"Augmenting the intense investment, effort and co-ordination made by the WNSWLHD, partners from other government and non-government organisations offered support and joined the effort to keep children and their families safe.
"We needed additional saturation monitors to keep small children with COVID-19 at home and we were grateful for the support the Humpty Dumpty Foundation and Interior Works were able to provide."
The Humpty Dumpty Foundation, founded by chairman Paul Francis in the early 1990s, provides life-saving medical equipment specifically requested by more than 440 hospitals and health services across Australia.
Each piece of medical equipment requested is stringently assessed by Humpty's medical sub-committee.
