The Stars of Dubbo Dance for Cancer will be held on March 25, 2022 at the Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre.
The event challenges local celebrities and community leaders to step out of their comfort zones, learn a dance routine and perform it live in front of an audience of more than 450 people. All while raising money to help support people affected by cancer.

At the launch night, the 10 local stars were randomly assigned a dance genre to learn and perform at the gala night. Those strapping on their dance shoes to dance for cancer come from a diverse range of backgrounds and industries including a farmer, journalist, real estate agent, wool trader, meat trader and a baker.
Cancer Council's community relations coordinator Cassandra Sullivan said she was excited to see what this year's line-up of stars had in store. She said it was especially exciting to have Warren and Trangie participate for the first time through local dance school Dance Experience.
"The last year has been really challenging for so many but even in the current climate we raised more than $85,000 for local Cancer Council initiatives at the 2021 Stars of Dubbo event," Mrs Sullivan said.
"In 2022 we hope to build on this momentum and host an even bigger celebration for the community who are more than ready to have a little bit of fun."
More than $8000 has already been raised by the 2022 participants.
"Funds raised help support Cancer Council's life-saving cancer research, prevention, advocacy and local support programs like transport to treatment for people affected by cancer," Mrs Sullivan said.
Cancer Council also announced Australian Community Media as a major sponsor of the event.
"As a leading rural and regional news brand, ACM is passionate about our community and there is no event that brings the community together like Stars of Dubbo," Mrs Sullivan said.
