'Welcome Here' rainbow stickers are now displayed in police stations across the western region to show they are visibly welcoming and inclusive of the LGBTIQ community.
The initiative is part of a broader diversity and inclusion project that encourages local businesses and services to display the stickers in their window; a sign to let everyone know that LGBTIQ diversity is welcome and celebrated within their business.

NSW Police Corporate Sponsor for Sexuality, Gender Diversity and Intersex, Assistant Commissioner Gelina Talbot said everyone in the LGBTIQA+ community is welcome, respected and protected in any of our police stations.
"Members of the community should feel safe to report crime and know that our stations are a safe place to seek refuge if they are under the threat of violence," she said.
There are more than 250 Gay and Lesbian Liaison Officers (GLLOs) within the NSW Police Force.
Orana Mid-Western Police District Commander, Acting Superintendent Natalie Antaw said the Dubbo Police Station was a safe place for all members of the LGBTIQA+ community.
"Whether you're a local resident, a student at the university, or perhaps just visiting this part of the world, you are welcome here,' she said.
