The HSC is a credential award presented to students after completing the exams which finalises their secondary education.

Miss Willis said it wasn't the experience she had been building it up to be.
"I feel fine,' she said.
"It wasn't that bad. I thought it was going to be worse.
"They always say the HSC exams are easier than what your trials are, and I definitely found that today. I'm definitely more worried about other exams still to come, like chemistry."
Miss Young said the best advice she would have to offer students set to undergo their HSC exams next year was to not expect it to be carbon copies of the trial exams.

"It's a lot different to the practice papers, I feel like," she said.
"The biggest advice you could probably receive is that the practice papers are quite different. That was one of the more concerning things I found."
