Bowling first Macquarie strangled the South Dubbo batters to bowl the latter out for just 91 after 31 overs.
Macquarie have restricted sides to low totals in both their games this season with Ben Strachan at his economical best with 0/9 off eight overs.
Macquarie captain Ricky Medway has been impressed with how his bowlers have handled bowling first up in the opening two weeks of the competition.
"Our bowlers first up are doing awesome for us," he said.
"They're just bowling with no errors.
"They are bowling straight to the field and bowling straight.
"They are getting wickets early and we've been fielding well which has reduced the runs so the last two weeks winning the toss and bowling has really helped us."

Macquarie's Will Skinner took 2/9 and Medway believes the youngster could be in for a big season after working on his game during winter.
"He got two wickets and he got another two last week," he said.
"We've helped him out a lot in the off-season.
"He's maturing which is good."
Chasing 91, Macquarie batter Jason Green was at his best hitting 55 off just 32 balls to seal the win within 10 overs while Lachlan Strachan chipped in with 26.
Medway said the message for the top order has been pretty simple in the opening two matches both of which they have had to chase.
"That's what I told them just to play their natural game," he said.
"It's making my job as a captain really easy.
"They are just playing how they normally play.
"Our top four have been getting the runs easy for us."
Off-season recruit Blake Smith took 4/23 for Macquarie and Medway is excited to watch the newcomer settle into the team throughout the year.
"He started off a bit shaky but at the end, he bowled really well," he said.
"He bowled nice and tight.
"He got wickets at the end for us which is really good but he's just coming to terms with the team and getting to know everyone.
"He's getting better each week.
"He's been really good for us."
Adam Wells top-scored for Souths with 22 while Lachie Rummans battled hard for 16 but in the end, Macquarie was too strong.
After their second win of the season, the unbeaten Macquarie will now turn their attention to their round three clash against the CYMS Cougars who are also coming off a narrow victory against the Newtown Tigers while Souths will face Rugby.
Elsewhere on Saturday,
RSL Colts have made it two wins from as many games with a big win over Rugby in their RSL Whitney Cup clash on Saturday afternoon.
Batting first, RSL Colts were led by Chris Morton and captain Marty Jeffrey who dominated the Rugby bowling attack during their 152 run partnership.
Opening the batting, Morton hit a mammoth 20 fours on his way to 116 while Jeffrey excelled at number three hitting 94 not out on his own to finish 5/274 from their 40 overs. Rugby opener Ben Wheeler took the attack to the RSL Colts bowlers hitting three sixes on his way to 65 but he lacked support.
Young RSL Colts leg spinner Tyson Deebank made the most of the turning pitch taking 4/67 and was well supported by Ben Taylor who claimed 2/13 as Rugby were bowled out for 171.
Over a No.2 Oval, CYMS narrowly edged out Newtown thanks to a Tom Coady masterclass. Batting first, Theme Rewat looked at ease against the CYMS bowling attack hitting 71 but he struggled to find someone to stay with him.
Newtown finished with a respectful 153 but it proved to not be enough.
Brock Larance showed signs of his best cricket hitting 30 opening the batting but it was Coady's knock of 70 not out which was key. Coady looked shaky early before launching a six off Mat Skinner to get off the mark and away the Cougars star went.
Coady hit three sixes and managed as many fours in his knock which got the Cougars over the line with four overs remaining. Matt Purse was the pick of the Newtown bowlers taking 2/26.
