Wellington junior Kotoni Staggs' off-season has looked a little different this year as he aims to be ready for pre-season in just a couple of weeks time.

Speaking to Broncos media, Staggs believes he is on track to return to full training for the season and will be aiming to line-up for the club come round one.
"Injury is going well," he said.
"I've still be coming in a little bit in the off-season and just trying to get my knee right for round one.
"I'm on track to be injury free for pre-season so things are going good."
After an injury-ravaged season personally for Staggs, he feels the group came along way throughout 2021.
"A hundred percent, he said.
"Watching the boys from where we started to where we finished it looked like a different group at the back end of the year.
"It's just good to finish on a good note and take into next year.
"I think we are building something and we're going to add some new players into the team which will help us.
"I'm looking forward to it."

While he has just 51 NRL games to his name, Staggs knows he has become somewhat of a leader in the Broncos squad.
"I didn't see myself as a leader but as I've got older and the people have helped as well," he said.
"I'm willingly to help the young fellas as well.
"I've been here for about four years now.
"I let them know not to hesitate to ask for help or if they need someone to talk to they can come to me.
"I'm easy going and I love joking around the boys."
While pre-season is firmly on his mind, Staggs also revealed he will have his debut boxing fight in December against at to be revealed opponent.
"It's a bit different," he said.
"It's been a different off-season for me.
"Coming into training and not doing football stuff instead doing some boxing which is different.
"It's a different fitness to footy as well.
"It can take it out of you really quick.
"I've got a fight in December coming.
"I'm just trying to get ready for that and try prepare myself the best I can."
