Jets president Michael Burns has revealed the majority of people within his club "don't really want any part" of the Western Premiership currently planned for 2022.
That competition would pit clubs from Group 11 and Group 10 against each other throughout the season and again at finals time.

The Western Premiership and interest from clubs is expected to be a hot topic at Sunday's Group 11 meeting in Narromine.
"It will all depend on what numbers we get," Burns said of the Jets' situation in 2022.
"It's no secret that it's getting harder and harder for small towns to compete. We'll just have to see what happens.
"We'd love to stay in Group 11 but we don't really want any part of travelling to Orange, Mudgee, Lithgow or anyone else in Group 10.
"I just know most of our players, pretty much all of them, aren't interested in playing in a Group 10 comp. They're happy to stay with the time-honoured Group 11."
Burns' comments come after Nyngan president Glen Neill said earlier this week he was still "confused" by aspects of the Western Premiership plan and many people within his club were against it.
The Jets have struggled for numbers, particularly in the juniors, at times in recent seasons and the club won just three games across four grades in a 2021 season cut short by COVID.
Burns wouldn't be drawn on what it would mean for his club next year if they weren't part of the Western Premiership.
He opted not to comment on whether the Jets could focus on reserve grade next season, which will remain in traditional Group 11 boundaries, or look at a neighbouring competition like the Castlereagh League.
"We'll have to cross that bridge when we come to it," he said.
The Jets' annual general meeting is set down for November 7 while the club is also currently advertising for coaches.
"We've just got to wait until we pick a coach and have the AGM and the new committee can decide what we can do," he said.
Burns is undecided whether he will put his hand up to remain president at the club.
