There were seven new cases reported across the LHD in the 24 hours to 8pm Thursday in comparison to the two reported the day prior.
They are, however, still low, with the region having now reported single digits six days consecutive- just short of a week.
Of the regions seven new cases, two are in Bathurst, two are in Dubbo, one is in Bourke, one is in Walgett and one is in Lightning Ridge.

The case in Lightning Ridge, along with one of the Bathurst cases, has been reported as having been infectious whilst in the community.
The Lightning Ridge case is the first confirmed case in the area.
One case has been identified as not being infectious whilst in the community and four cases remain under investigation.
The number of active cases across the region has also had a significant drop, reporting 116 active cases following the recovery of an additional 15 patients in the 24 hours to 8pm Thursday.
The Dubbo Regional Council area has held the highest number of active cases throughout the region COVID-19 outbreak, and just last week had reported more than 100 active cases.
That number has now also fallen below 40, which is the lowest number of active cases Dubbo Regional has had in a month.
With all remaining students to have made a full return back to schools across Dubbo LGA by the end of next week, Western NSW Local Health is urging parents, aunties, uncles, and caretakers to be vigilant of the onset of symptoms and to keep testing at the forefront of their minds.
