Following NSW reaching 80 per cent full vaccination, community sport can now resume but Dubbo Touch has decided to wait longer until they begin.
The association's president Neil Webster said the club would wait until summer begins to start their two senior competitions while the juniors would have to wait almost two extra months to play again.
"We've decided to kick off again on December 1," he said.
"Registrations opened for our summer competitions on Tuesday.
"We've decided to start juniors in the new year at the end of January.
"But with our senior comps they will start in December with our Mixed on Monday nights and Men's on Wednesday night."

From December 1, everyone can participate in sport and exercise regardless of their vaccination status and Webster feels it would be easier to wait until then to start the competitions.
"Obviously at that date we can receive vaccinated and un-vaccinated players and participants,"
"It was going to be pretty difficult to start prior to that with other restrictions in place.
"To be honest, it gives us time to get the registrations sorted and have everyone sign up.
"We need a bit of time to get ready as well."
With NSW experiencing two months in lockdown, Webster feels they should have good participation rates this year as people will be eager to get outside and play sport.
"We're sort of expecting good numbers because everyone has been at home and not doing too much," he said.
"Hopefully they have, it will be hard when they get back if they haven't. We thought people want to do things, let's get back into it.
"Obviously, we've got to do things to be ready with COVID-19 safety plans and getting that up to speed."
Like many sports, touch football competitions had to be suspended and eventually cancelled due to lockdowns.
Webster knows the right decision was made at the end of the day to stop their winter seasons.
"We're gearing up for those competitions to start. It's been a long break," he said.
"We had to suspend then cancel winter competitions.
"We were two or three weeks short of finals which was pretty typical of all sports.
"It was too hard, so we ceased and moved on with our summer comps."
Registrations for both senior touch football competitions are now open while junior players will have to wait a bit longer for their chance to sign up for their league.
The NSW State Cup competition was planned to be played in early December and could still go ahead as planned as there has been no further update on the representative competitions for this year.
