Mr McLachlan said while he encourages residents from smaller communities to travel to hubs such as Dubbo, Bathurst and Orange if needed to get their vaccination, they "shouldn't have to" as there is "every opportunity" in every community across the region.
A special focus has been placed on communities in the region including Cobar, which currently holds the region's lowest double vaccination rate, Sofala, Hill End, Elong Elong and Ballimore.
