Proposed works costing $1.2 million include a new kiss-and-ride zone, better toilet facilities, paths and ramps.

State Member for the Dubbo electorate Dugald Saunders is urging community members to have their say with feedback on early concept designs accepted up until November 7.

"This $1.2 million upgrade will help make sure all our customers, including people with a disability, limited mobility, parents and carers with prams, and travellers with luggage can easily access the station," he said.

"I'm inviting the community to have their say on the proposal to ensure we deliver a station that is accessible for people of all ages and abilities.

"I'm pleased this upgrade is now a step closer because I know it will make a real difference to locals once complete, as well as help support about 40 jobs in engineering, design, construction and administration."

Subject to planning approval, the project is expected to be completed in mid-2022.
