The foray into breeding got off to the perfect start for the sisters.

In just her second career start, Oh One Job ($5.50) powered to victory in Forbes on May 2, with Rue guiding the filly to dominant 28 metre win in 1:59.0.

Since then, aside from one abominable run in Bathurst when Coffee says the filly just 'decided not to run', it has been clear that there's immense talent, despite a few quirks.

With a grin from ear to ear after the race, Coffee said those quirks are all part of the rollercoaster ride of breeding and ownership - which has now net them $17,431 in prizemoney.

"You've just got to ride the highs and the lows," she said.

"She's only three, but she's already competing against the regular horses.

"In today's race for example, Best Beau ($3.30 favourite) has had over 100 career starts, but Oh One Job's only had seven, so that becomes the issue.

"It's just a matter of finding the race where she will draw well against this company."

A noted frontrunner, Oh One Job was able to take control again after starting from gate two on Monday.

After setting the pace early, Rue made his move as he entered the back straight on the bell lap and it proved the key moment in the race.

The sizzling 27.9 second third quarte set up the one length victory in the swift mile rate of 1:58.7.

"She wasn't breathing that hard either when she came back, which showed she had a bit left in the tank," Coffee said.

"That being said, Mat (Rue) did keep working on her in the straight to make sure she didn't switch off when Best Beau was coming at her."

Best Beau had won seven straight heading into Monday's race but had to settle for third after just being edged out for second by Itsallaboutned ($41).

The NSW Breeders Challenge semi-finals are next up at Bathurst, after Oh One Job ran fourth in the heats last month.

"She's through to the next round but she will be entitled to go into the regional ones as well, which are less prizemoney but easier races," Coffee said.

"Unfortunately for us though, that'll be at Bathurst, and she hasn't been at her best there."
