Dubbo is also the most weather impacted location in the region, followed by Parkes, which also ranked sixth statewide, then Orange, Forbes and Broken Hill.
The research also shows that residents in the state's west are among the most prepared for wild weather, coming in as the second best-prepared region in NSW.
With Storm Season commencing next month, NRMA Insurance executive Luke Gallagher reminds residents to be prepared.
"As its name suggests, Storm Season sees a higher frequency of storms, bringing heavy rain and the very real risk of floods," he said.
"Storms also bring powerful winds, which can bring down trees, powerlines and damage your property."
Storm Season traditionally runs from October to March, with March usually seeing the worst of it followed by October.
