Noah and Finn Randell, Carrigan Baker and Imogen Bassett will go up against the best of the best on Thursday.
This is the second time the team has made it to the nationals level for the international competition and it is the only team from the Central West to qualify in the history of the competition.
The team has competed for three years and through their hard work and dedication have been deemed as one of the best Future Problem Solving teams Australia wide.
"We could not be more proud," Central West Leadership Academy principal Mandi Randell said.
"This is the core of academy learning: challenging rigorous content in real world scenarios that takes hard work and dedication to achieve. For four years our team of four have tirelessly practiced and refined their skills and now have been acknowledged as some of the best creative and critical thinkers in the country."
The school also had success elsewhere. The students also entered the Community Problem Solving category with their project, Take One Step, and came second in the country in the qualifying round.
In a third category, scenario writing, Noah Randell qualified for the national finals and came third in the country in scenario writing. He will progress to compete at nationals for a slot at the International Competition next year.
"These students have worked very hard and Dubbo should be proud that we are so well represented on the national stage," she said.
