He's one of nine COVID-19 deaths recorded in the 24 hours to 8pm on Tuesday night.
There have been 148 COVID-related deaths in NSW since June 16, and 204 in total since the start of the pandemic.
The Dubbo man was not vaccinated and had some significant underlying health conditions.

There were 1480 new cases of COVID-19 recorded across NSW in the same time period.
In the Western NSW local health district there were another 27 cases.
It includes 17 in Dubbo, six in Bourke, one in Walgett and three in Bathurst.
There have also been another seven cases announced in Wilcannia.
It's been four weeks since the first cases were announced in Dubbo.
There are now 653 cases in the local government area.
On Tuesday, WNSWLHD chief executive Scott McLachlan said there was still a high number of young people with COVID but concerningly, they had seen a growing number of people over the age of 70 contract the virus.
"We know older people do get crook faster from COVID so that's a real area of concern for us," he said.
