Last week, Mining Camps Australia general manager Jim Montague was presented with a certificate of appreciation from St Brigid's Conference president Rhonda Gleeson.
It came after Mr Montague donated $1000 worth of groceries purchased from Henry and Denise Jom at IGA West Dubbo.
Ms Gleeson said it was an extremely difficult time for many people and families.
ALSO MAKING NEWS:
Vinnies members have distributed 30 large food parcels to those in need since the lockdown started in the Dubbo local government area last month.
In addition to Mr Montague, Vinnies has also thanked Mr and Mrs Jom for their special discount off the cost of the donated food.
Any families who are experiencing difficulties in accessing food are encouraged to phone the St Vincent de Paul care and support number on 1800 047 100.
Leave a message and a Vinnies member will contact the caller for a phone interview.
Phone arrangements will then be made for the home delivery of a food parcel.
