"For those that may not know, people who are recorded as positive cases or close contacts or people who should be isolating are checked on by police - every one of those names on that list will get a visit from the NSW Police Force and they may well be in company of an ADF person as well," Western Region Commander, Assistant Commissioner Geoff McKechnie said.
"It certainly helps us stretch our resources as far as we possibly can to make sure that we are out there, keeping people as safe as we possibly can."
A total of five ADF teams were committed to the Western Region to assist with vaccinations and compliance.
More information will be announced on Thursday, about additional vaccine clinics in Dubbo, including a drive-through believed to be planned for the Dubbo Showground and walk-in at Pioneer Park in West Dubbo.
They will also be sent to remote communities in northwestern NSW to help vaccinate those populations, including Walgett and Bourke.
Compliance remains an issue in Dubbo, with 40 infringement notices issued over Tuesday night for breaches of the Public Health Order.
"We're still seeing a level of non-compliance, albeit small. A large percentage of our community is working with us, trying to keep each other safe and our communities right across Western Region safe," Assistant Commissioner McKechnie said.
"But that group who continue to flout the rules will continue to be detected by our police and those infringement notices unfortunately will be issued.
"Every available traffic and highway patrol car and general duties police officer...north, south, east and west of Dubbo are tasked to the roads to stopping vehicles, to checking bona fides, to making sure that people are staying put where they need to be."
