Respected Fox Sports commentator Andrew Voss asked if Burton was ready to have the same nickname as the great Brad 'Freddy' Fittler after the Dubbo junior showcased his poise and power in the 34-16 win over St George Illawarra.
Nathan Cleary's return at halfback meant Burton reverted from the halves to centre but he still had an immense impact on the match, with his running game on show during the second half when he scored one try and set-up another.

It was the latest in a string of outstanding performances this season from the 21-year-old, who had even been mentioned as a possible State of Origin bolter earlier in the year.
His running game and kicking skills, as well as his strong physique, led Voss to make the comparison with former premiership winner and Australian representative Fittler.
"Has he got a nickname Burton because Freddy might be the nickname," Voss said during the call.
"Surely it is not Richard, but Freddy Burton because I am seeing the Freddy left foot again.
"Possibly Freddy's at his best was even more prodigious but he is so strong Burton.
"He has the same physique as the great Brad Fittler."
Wellington junior Brent Naden was also among the Panthers' best on Friday night and scored a double in the victory over the battling Dragons.
Naden scored the Panthers' first two tries after the side had endured something of a scrappy start to the contest.
Things couldn't have been better on 14 minutes as winger Naden intercepted a Corey Norman pass and 10 minutes later he finished off a well worked move on the left edge.
The Panthers remain second and meet South Sydney in a blockbuster next round.
