Two cases were already identified in Dubbo and overnight another three have been identified.
NSW Health confirmed the cases are linked to the two COVID cases yesterday.
Meanwhile, Orana Heights Public School will be closed on Thursday after a student tested positive for COVID-19.
On Thursday morning, the Department of Education said all staff and students were required to self-isolate.
"NSW Health has requested anyone who has been unwell or if you develop any symptoms such as a fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, runny nose, loss of smell/taste, muscle/joint pains, diarrhoea, nausea/vomiting or extreme tiredness to be tested at one of the COVID-19 testing clinics," the Department of Education spokesperson said.

Overall, NSW recorded 345 new locally acquired cases of COVID-19 in the 24 hours to 8pm last night.
Of these locally acquired cases, 128 are linked to a known case or cluster - 101 are household contacts and 27 are close contacts - and the source of infection for 217 cases is under investigation.
