The Roosters are at the top of the table, having lost only one game throughout the year, and two points clear of defending premiers Dunedoo.
The Roosters enjoyed the bye during what turned out to be a hugely lopsided penultimate round of action on the weekend.
In Saturday's matches, Gulgong continued its recent fine form by scoring a dominant 54-0 win over Trangie and a five-try haul for young winger Kyzah Louie highlighted Gilgandra's huge 68-0 win over Coonamble.
They weren't the biggest wins of the weekend though as the Dunedoo Swans ran rampant in their match, thumping the Baradine Magpies 76-0.

Cobar returns to the field this weekend at Gilgandra and while a loss would not be ideal preparation for the finals series, the minor premiership is theirs due to their far superior points differential which cannot be bettered even if Dunedoo were to record a big win over the Trangie Magpies in their final round fixture.
The top five in first grade is sorted, but not so the final finishing order, with Gulgong Terriers and Coonabarabran Unicorns fighting it out for fourth position on the ladder and hosting rights for the elimination semi final which will be played on Sunday, August 22.
Both teams are locked together on 22 competition points heading into the final round with Gulgong holding an advantage in terms of points differential. The Terriers are assured of two competition points courtesy of the bye on Saturday so the Unicorns must win by a sizeable margin in their game against Baradine to move up.
Meanwhile, the Baradine Magpiettes have given themselves a very good shot at claiming the league tag minor premiership after a tight 28-20 win over the Dunedoo Swannettes on Saturday.
The win puts Baradine two points clear of the Swannettes on the competition table, but if they lose to third placed Coonabarabran this Saturday, and Dunedoo downs Trangie it will come down to points difference.
While the league tag game at Baradine bears a great deal of significance those two teams are assured of a place in the finals.
Not so the game at Gilgandra between the Pink Panthers and the Cobar Roosterettes, the winner of which will advance to the semis, while it will be the season end for the vanquished.
On the weekend, Coonamble's league tag side secured a spot in the final by defeating the Pink Panthers 20-16 in an entertaining clash.
Baradine's league tag side downed Dunedoo 28-20 on Saturday while in the other match Cobar boosted its finals hopes by defeating Binnaway 42-6.
