On arrival, Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) crews from Trangie and Narromine were advised all occupants were out of the property, and the kitchen was alight.

Firefighters gained entry to the house, and began to extinguish the blaze, however the fire had extended to the roof space, which was quickly brought under control.
Trangie FRNSW station commander, captain Wade Haines said firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze in 25 minutes, and used a thermal imaging camera to check the property for further fire extension.
He said the fire was luckily contained to the area of origin.
Captain Haines said the fire was a result of someone leaving their cooking unattended, but said thankfully their working smoke alarm alerted the occupants to the fire.
"This serves as a good reminder to never leave your cooking unattended, and 'Keep looking when Cooking'," he said.
"This is a good example of the importance of having a working smoke alarm and a fire escape plan."
