Round 11 of the Rawson Homes A Grade Premiership competition featured three important matches but for the Hawks the win was vital.
Narromine sits level on points with ladder leaders Fusion Heat but is second due to for and against percentages.
Hawks captain Trudy Althofer knows the win was a big win going into the final rounds of the season with a top-two spot on the line with the competition proving to be a close one.

"It was nice to have a good game," he said.
"Nyngan was really competitive so it was a bit of a grind for us.
"It was a really good game."
Althofer feels it was a team effort in the sides win with the shooters doing particularly well due to the wind factor at the Nita McGrath courts.
"I thought they did really well," she said.
Narromine will be without some players over the next few weeks leading into finals and may not have their full strength side back on the court until Round 14.
Althofer knows the remaining three matches will be difficult but her side is more than ready for the challenge.
"Well we are not going to have an easy run-in," she said.
"In terms of players, we have a fair few away this coming week.
"So we won't get the best prep leading in because we won't have the consistency but hopefully for maybe the last round we will have everyone there."
This year's competition is extremely close with just six points separating third and sixth position.
Althofer believes the final three rounds could be really exciting leading into the finals series which will only feature the top four sides.
"It should be a good last three rounds I think," she said.
"It's a tight tussle for third, fourth and fifth.
"All of those teams which are sitting in those spots are really bringing it each week and they are fighting really hard for those spots.
"They really take it to you on the court, which is good."
Nyngan will be looking to cement themselves into the finals when they take on the Dubbo Rhinos Rebels this week and Althofer knows anything could happen.
"There should be some really exciting games coming up," she said.
"I think Rhinos play Nyngan this weekend."
In the round's other matches, Fusion Heat defeated the Rhinos while St Groover edged out Macquarie in a close one.
Narromine can all but confirm themselves in the top two spots with a win over Macquarie this weekend.
St Groovers will face Fusion Wild and Rhinos will play Nyngan in a game which is sure to be a good one.
