
A man has been arrested following an early morning police pursuit involving an alleged stolen vehicle in Dubbo.
Shortly before 6.30am on Tuesday, officers attached to the Orana Mid-Western Police District spotted a red Holden commodore utility travelling west on Thompson Street in Dubbo.

Officers indicated for the vehicle to stop, however it accelerated away and a pursuit was initiated.
Police allege the vehicle reached speeds of up to 180km/h in a 90km/h zone along the Mitchell Highway towards Narromine.

The pursuit continued into the Narromine township and was terminated a short time later due to safety concerns.
Officers conducting patrols of the area located the vehicle on Fifth Avenue in Narromine a short time later.
Following inquiries, police arrested a 31-year-old man at a home on Sixth Avenue soon after.
He was taken to Dubbo Police Station and remains in custody.
Investigations continue.
