Spurs winger Bailey McCabe scored off a corner to lead the side to a 1-0 win over the defending premier Bulls side.
Orana captain Jared Corby knew the match would not be an easy one against a team like the Bulls.
"It was definitely a good win," he said.
"We always knew it was going to be tough against the Bulls.
"We've been battling with them for years so we know how they play and they know how we play.
"It's good to get one back on them tonight."
Spurs have started fast all season long and were unlucky not to score in the opening half but Bulls keeper Hayden Williams produced two brilliant saves in succession to keep his side in the match.
"I think we were unlucky not to get one on them early," Corby said.
"Their keeper pulled off a couple of amazing saves but we just got one at the end there to put us in the lead."
The win for Spurs moves them into second position on the ladder and a single point away from first.
Corby knows the side are riding the wave of momentum they have created for themselves over the last month of play.

"The morale is high and it's only building," he said.
"I think we are pretty unstoppable at the moment so that's the belief in the squad which is good."
Bulls' Scott Fox knows his side can perform better than they showed on Saturday.
"Tough is probably a good word to describe it," he said.
"It was one of those tough games, which we struggled to get into.
"I think you've got to give Spurs credit for keeping us out of the game.
"For what it was it was a bad game but we still had our chances I think we still could've pinched it or got a draw out of it.
"There is a lot of negatives we need to fix but at the same time, it is good that it has happened now.
"I think we can start building again now over the next couple of weeks before semi's."
Bulls lost young gun Kane Settree early in the match with a suspected knee injury which may put him out for the remainder of the season.
"It sucks to put it into words for you," Fox said.
"It sucks for the team firstly, because he is the driving force behind the midfield and gets the team going well.
"But more than anything for him individually because he is a young man and is probably playing the best football he has ever.
"He is winning the best player of the year in the Western Premier League so I feel for him but you know it's not the end of the world and he will be back sooner or later.
"But hopefully it's sooner, but team-wise we will move and hope it's not too serious."
After Settree's injury, Spurs had all the momentum with Justin Gibson and Jake Grady constantly threatening the Bulls defence and Williams.
Spurs back Josh Allen picked up a freak injury of his own when he was nudged into the goal post which ended his night towards the end of the first half.
Neither team could find the back of the net in the opening half with the scores tied at 0-all.
Early in the second half, however, Spurs winger McCabe hit a corner kick sweetly which found the back of the net handing the side a 1-0 lead.
Bulls had their chances throughout the second half to level but struggled to fire a shot on target to challenge Spurs keeper Bailey Delany.
Full-time was blown which gave Spurs their second win in as many weeks over a top side, making them the form side in the competition heading into the final month of play.
