Dubbo CYMS know it can expect a tough Narromine Jets side ahead of their match on Sunday at Apex Oval.
CYMS currently sits level on points with Wellington at the top of the Group 11 ladder but has a tough run into the looming finals series.
The Fishies' prop Ben Marlin knows the side will come together over the remaining four rounds before ramping things up for finals.
"Everything is sort of coming together," he said.
"We've got a bye next weekend then we have Nyngan and Macquarie into the semi-finals.
"Over the next couple of weeks we will lock in everyone's positions so it should be good."
Marlin missed CYMS' matches against Wellington and Parkes after sustaining an injury during the local derby against Macquarie but admitted watching the games was easy because of the comradery in the Fishies squad.
"It's a good bunch of blokes, he said.
"Even though you are injured or can't play so you sort of get around them because you want to be there not because you have to be there.
"Coming back into it has been easy.
"Everything is going to plan but now it's just about building going in."
While Narromine are yet to win a game this season, Marlin knows Sunday's match will be a tough clash.
"You can never take Narromine lightly," he said.
"They have struggled but they still have some good players there.
"If you don't turn up they will give you a game so we've just got to show up and be in the right mindset and get on with it.
"They'll be a good test and it will be good to do a few new plays."
Marlin feels CYMS' big win last week has helped bring some confidence back into the group after three physical games in a row.
"I've sort of missed the last three hard games," he said.
"We had Macquarie, Parkes and Wellington which were probably our three hardest games of the year because they are all coming into form as well.
"To get a bit of a blow out last week and to get a good game under our belt is good."
Kick-off for the first grade match is at 2:30pm.
