On election day alone, the NSW Electoral Commission is in need of 15 polling place managers, 15 deputy polling place managers, 11 declaration vote issuing officers and 110 election officials.

In Narromine, 29 positions will need to be filled, including three polling place managers. Warren will have 10 positions open on election day, the Bogan Shire will have 10 and Cobar will have 11.

But it's not only election day when jobs are needed.

A NSW Electoral Commission spokesperson said positions will be offered from next week, right up until election day.

They said there were a number of positions available in the returning officer office across the election period.

From July 19 to 23 a returning officer - who will be named on Monday - will also work part time.

The returning office for the Dubbo and Narromine local government areas will be located at the former Dubbo City Bowling Club on Wingewarra Street.

From July 26, the returning officer will be there full-time and the office will be open to the public.

Pre-polling will be available at the office for both Dubbo and Narromine residents.

Pre-polling will also be undertaken at Dubbo Uniting Church and Wellington Civic Hall.

In Narromine, pre-polling will also be available at the Narromine Shire Council.

The local government elections will be held across the state on Saturday, September 4.

In the Dubbo LGA, 10 councillors will be elected, two from each of the five wards: Wellington, central, east, north and south.

The NSW Electoral Commission website can also show residents which ward they reside in. Residents only vote for councillors standing in their ward.
