Played on Friday night at Apex Oval, it was Macquarie who got off to a dream start as Justin Sutton scored inside the first minute of play.
Jake Grady turned the game on it's head in his return from injury firstly producing a brilliant individual run to score his first goal of the night.
Just minutes shy of half time, a Joel Tongue cross found the head of Jared Corby to give Spurs a 2-1 lead.

Grady scored his second of the night after burying a penalty shot into the bottom right of goal to hand Spurs a 3-1 lead.
Rhys Osborne produce a wonder strike to put Macquarie back in the match with just under 30 minutes remaining.
Grady's head secured his hat trick after a Connor McDonald free kick found the striker to push Spurs almost out of reach.
Sutton scored his second of the night from after Bailey Delany made an unforced error for an easy tap in to the striker.
The win keeps Spurs comfortably in the top three but they still trail Bulls by four points after the latter's win over Lithgow.
Barnestoneworth defeated Parkes 1-0 in a close match and Orange Waratahs were too classy for Mudgee winning 4-2.
