The two males are believed to have smashed the front door to Angus and Coote in Orange around 11.15pm on Saturday night, before heading to Dubbo and doing the same to the front entrance of Orana Mall, before smashing their way into the Angus and Coote Dubbo store.
Central West Police District Inspector David Maher said at least 30 gold rings were stolen from the Angus and Coote shop at the front of the Orange City Centre complex in Summer Street.
It is unknown what the men took from the Dubbo store.
He said two males smashed the front door at about 11.15pm, robbed the store and then headed toward Dubbo in a silver Kia hatchback believed to have been stolen from Hill End earlier on Saturday.
"They've stolen a substantial amount of jewellery."
Inspector Maher said it is believed the men were responsible for a similar raid on an Angus and Coote store in Dubbo later that night.
"Police are appealing for anyone with information. There were people on the street at that time of night," Inspector Maher said.
No further details were provided about the vehicle or individuals understood to be involved.
