On Thursday, NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian announced 22 pharmacies across regional and rural areas will deliver the AstraZeneca jab from mid-July to people 60 and over, as part of a pilot program to boost the vaccine rollout.
But the Pharmacy Guild of Australia says the announcement doesn't go far enough. NSW President David Heffernan said every pharmacy in the state should be stocked with the vaccine.
"They should onboard all pharmacies in NSW, there's no reason why they should not. At the very least, they should get pharmacies ready," Mr Heffernan said.
"Our staff are trained to deliver vaccinations, we could start vaccinating tomorrow. We know there's no issue with AstraZeneca in stock, the state government is not allocating the stock."

There are also pharmacies in Baradine and Gulgong.
Narromine Pharmacy Pharmacist Sara McCarthy said their first available appointment day has already been booked out.
"Monday July 26 is our first day of bookings, which is already full," she said. "But every Monday will be open for bookings, along with two Thursdays in the first two weeks. We may increase those days, depending on the uptake.
"There's also been a lot of interest in after hours appointments for people who are working, and there's an after-hours form online you can fill out."
Bookings can be made on the Pharmacy website at www.narrominepharmacy.com.au
The latest vaccination announcement only relates to people aged 60 and over.
Premier Berejiklian said it's a "vital step to help as many people in NSW as possible receive their Covid-19 vaccination as soon as possible".
"We know that some of these communities have limited local access to general practitioner services and having these pharmacies involved will assist with the phased rollout of the AstraZenica vaccine to these communities," Premier Berejiklian said.
But Mr Heffernan said the rollout could be done far more quickly with the help of all pharmacists.
"Wherever you go, GPs are backed up with bookings," he said. "I'm extremely disappointed. They are shutting down the economy, they are shutting down people's lives. The public want to be vaccinated, they have a right to be vaccinated.
"It's a disgrace and the public should be outraged."
