About 5.10pm on Sunday, a five-year-old was struck by a car as he ran across Dalgarno Street.
Emergency services were called, and the boy was taken to Coonabarabran Hospital before being airlifted to John Hunter Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

The female driver of the vehicle was taken to Coonabarabran Hospital for mandatory testing.
Inquiries by Orana Mid-Western Police District are under way.
