Apex Oval hosted the match between the Dubbo heavyweight side and the much-improved visitors.
Bulls had scored the least amount of goals of the top four sides heading into the weekend but co-captain and coach James Leonard felt his side was more attacking in the victory.
"We started attacking a lot more which provided to be a huge benefit for us scoring four goals and only having two penalties scored against us," he said.
"All four goals were very built up, which is something we did work on at training.

"We did something a little bit different and we sort of did a lot more attacking training on Tuesday and it showed."
Once again midfielder Kane Settree was the star, scoring two goals, while Kobe Rapley and Tom Busch also found the back of the net for the hosts.
Leonard had nothing but praise for Settree, as the teenager continues to amaze in his first season at the club.
"He's unreal, he is a very lucky pick-up," Leonard said.
Along with Rapley, Leonard has taken charge of the Bulls side this season and is in enjoying the leadership role.
"It is tough being mates with everybody and making some decisions but everyone is on board with the decisions we make so it does make it a little bit easier," he said.
"It's just the initial thing of saying we are going to use you a little bit differently or swapping and changing positions as we have for the last few weeks.
"We've tinkered with our midfield, wide men and even strikers as such."
Apex Oval has been used for Western Premier League games already this season as well as the two rugby codes but Leonard felt once the ground gets wet it becomes challenging.
"With the lines everywhere it's tough to position yourself but the field itself is good," he said
"Until it gets a bit of dew on it then it becomes very slippery underfoot."
