Draft draws for Western rugby league's premiership and championship competitions should be unveiled by mid-July as New South Wales Rugby League officials complete what has been a long consultation process with clubs in both Group 10 and Group 11.

NSWRL boss Dave Trodden launched the proposal at Wade Park in March, and slated June 15 as the date the game's stakeholders would have a clear picture of what season 2022 would look like.
That date hasn't been met, however, with officials still to meet with Group 11 powerhouse Wellington Cowboys and Group 10 club Blayney in the coming week.

Once that process is complete, a draft draw will be released and NSWRL Western Regional Manager Evan Jones says the sort of change officials are envisaging will become far clearer for all participants once a draw comes to fruition.
"We are still going through the community consultation process. It has taken us a little longer than expected to get to everyone," he said.
"We have two visits remaining, which I would anticipate having completed early next week. We are also waiting on a draft draw for the concept, which is imminent.
"We're aiming for early to mid-July announcement. There's a lot of moving parts."
That's welcome news for the clubs involved as Group 11 secretary Paul Loxley admitted there has been some frustration building in the competition.
"We still haven't seen a draw and I really think, until people see a draw, there's too many obstacles," he said.
"Until they put a draw out I don't think clubs are going to commit."
Loxley attended a number of meetings between the NSWRL and Group 11 clubs in recent months and said the biggest issues appeared to be what a draw would look like, if it's locked in as an initial two-year draw, and how a points cap would work.
There is no points cap on players in Group 11 but there is Group 10 and it believed one would be implemented in a new-look competition should it start next season.
